SYSTEM OUTAGES AND
CONTINGENCY PLANS

There are times during the school year where maintenance or software updates are planned and necessary and some or all of the learning systems will be unavailable. Communication is sent or posted in advance with directions and next steps.  Typically planned maintenance occurs during low traffic times (usually early morning 12am-4am and/or on weekends)

Unfortunately, since we are living in the world of technology, unplanned system outages also happen for many reasons. Typically they are short, and students and staff members should not give up school for the day.

What should you do?

  1. Continue to log in to all scheduled classes and if unsuccessful, try again once every 15 minutes during that class period.
  2. If you are logging in again, remember to clear computer cache and history and try again.
  3. Check the news feed located on the Home page at agora.org to see if any school wide outages are reported.
  4. Look in email (If possible) for any directions from your Teacher or Family Coach.
  5. If you do not see any communications from your Teacher or the school, assume that the problem is limited and contact tech support. (844.502.4672)
  6. If you have not received any notification from anyone at the school, you should also contact  your Family Coach and Attendance Office via email (if possible) to inform them of your technical difficulty.
  7. In the event that an outage is prolonged and widespread, attendance will be counted with OLS/LMS log in and work completion and submissions.
  8. In the event there is a longer outage or if OLS/LMS login is impossible, school does not need to cease. Follow the Department Contingency Plans listed below.

Intermittent Engageli Outage User experiencing prolonged delays entering Engageli or frequent loss of connection during class time. Try to log in to all scheduled sessions.
If you are able to get in, but the teacher is not present, please wait 10 minutes and if he/she has not been able to join the session, you may log out and work on the items below. If you are unable to get in, complete the item below:

  • OLS lessons by following daily plan
 Try to login to all scheduled sessions.

Sustained Engageli Outage User experiencing sustained inability to enter Engageli. Try to log in to all scheduled sessions.

  • Complete the following:
  • OLS lessons by following daily plan
 Contact your teacher/s for guidance. Try to log in to all scheduled sessions.

  • Complete LMS daily plan and follow daily calendar and submit assignments
  • Check email for directions from your teacher
Intermittent OLS/LMS Outage User experiencing prolonged delays entering or using OLS/LMS Keep trying to log in to the OLS throughout the day. Whenever you are unable to successfully log-in:

  • Utilize supplemental programs
  • Work on offline assignments.
  • Practice math facts.
  • Read a book.
  • Answer writing prompt.
 Continue to try to log-in throughout the day. Continue to try to log-in to the LMS throughout the day.

  • Work on offline assignments
Sustained OLS/LMS Outage User experiencing sustained inability to access OLS/LMS. Continue to try to Log in to the OLS throughout the day.

  • Utilize supplemental programs
  • Work on offline assignments.
  • Practice math facts.
  • Read a book.
  • Answer writing prompt.
 Continue to try to log-in to the OLS throughout the day. Continue to try to log-in to the LMS throughout the day.
