Agora Student Clubs
Agora offers many exciting clubs for students to participate in. The buttons below will take you to the grade band club page. Clubs are run by Agora staff and contain only Agora students. Below that you will find K12/Stride student Engagement Activities and clubs run by K12/Stride and may contain students across all grade bands. Take a look to see if any of these opportunities are right for you!
Please Note
Synchronous students should not attend clubs during required scheduled sessions and will be marked absent from class if they attend a club over their mandatory sessions.
Agora Elementary School Clubs
Arts and Crafts Club (K-2)

Kindergarten, First and Second Grade students are invited every month to explore creative ideas and talents through projects that are an extension of the Agora curriculum run by our Elementary School National Honors Society Students. Your K-2 student will enjoy having the opportunity to showcase their art during monthly gallery walks.

Arts and Crafts Club (3-5)

Meeting Time – 2nd Thursday of the month at 3:15pm
Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade students are invited every month to explore their creativity through crafts. Students will have the opportunity to sign up for a month and plan the craft for their classmates. We will use Seesaw as a gallery to post student work from these sessions and for students to share things they have created on their own.

Gamers Club (3-5)

Third, Fourth and Fifth grade students are invited each month to dive into the world of gaming. We will review, discuss, and explore various types of games, from chess and checkers to roblox and minecraft. The club is run by our Elementary School National Honor Society Students.

Elementary Yearbook (3-5)

Agora’s Elementary Yearbook Club is open to all Agora elementary students in grades 3 – 5. We will review yearbook theme, participate in the cover design contest, review how to take great photos, and help create a fun yearbook for our K-5 students to enjoy. In addition, members must be respectful, responsible, focused & positive during club meetings.

Agora Middle School Clubs

This club is a place where Christians can study the Word of God together. We will study a book from the Bible and discuss. It will be a great opportunity to focus on Jesus and encourage one another. We will not upset nor criticize any student’s religion. Although this is a Christian, Bible-based study, everyone is welcome!
Animal Lovers Club

Students will learn about important issues affecting animals while increasing their appreciation and respect for them. They will be empowered to help animals and all living things.
Anime Club

Do you enjoy drawing, discussing or watching Anime? Anime Club is a place for any student who enjoys anime, drawing, or games. Everyone is welcome, whether you know anything about Anime or not.
Arts and Crafts Club

Whether you have lots of supplies, or none at all, if you love being creative we are the club for you! Join us monthly as we make all sorts of fun masterpieces! We will send out a supply list the week before for you to prepare, or you can create a virtual option in a breakout room with no supplies needed at all. We can’t wait to see what you create! We will be making crafts from basic supplies that you likely have in your home already.
GSA Club

Genders & Sexualities Alliances, or GSAs for short, are student-run organizations that unite LGBTQ+ and allied youth to build community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities. GSA offers a safe space for students to support each other.
Let’s Get Cooking Club

This club will focus on the basic food preparation and cooking skills. Students will learn how to follow a recipe and to safely prepare food. It is our goal to gather students with an interest in cooking to share recipes and prepare food.
Outdoor Club

Students that have a passion for fishing and hunting will get to explore interesting topics, exciting activities, and informational websites that are related to their outdoor interests.
Reader’s Theater Club

This club will give students the opportunity to explore taking on the role of another character in a Reader’s Theater setting. We will be enhancing reading skills and confidence by students’ reading of scripts. We also highly encourage students to write their own short Reader’s Theater scripts and use this club to see their writing come to life.

Agora High School Clubs

Do you love cars and engines? Are you a true car enthusiast just looking to discuss cars with other students? Maybe you want tips on getting your first car? Then join the Agora Car Club! We are a community of students that will discuss everything car related, and we don’t limit to any categories. We can discuss sedans, muscle cars, sports cars, and trucks! There is no limit to the cars we will be talking about, whether it’s make, model or year. Each week we will learn about different parts of a car, and students can decide what the best make or type of car they may be interested in. So, join us for the Agora Car Club!

Art Club

Let your creative side soar and join the Art Club! Agora’s Art Club is open to all high school students who have a desire to share their passion for all forms of art. This virtual, interactive club was founded by a student who leads the club and is advised by Agora high school art teachers. Club meetings are held virtually 1-2 times per month and include brief lessons, games, videos, and sharing of artwork. No previous formal art training is required.
Astronomy Club

The new James Webb Telescope! So many rocket launches! Exoplanet discoveries! Black hole observations. Several new world class telescopes coming online. Space research is at one of those times that people will talk about in future generations. Plus, space is just cool. Astronomy club is a place to share news about space, look at recent discoveries, learn about telescopes, find what you can see in your night sky and explore. Please be sure to bring oxygen.
A Time for Christ

Book Club

Students will have the opportunity to read and discuss books with their peers. Students will read books of their own choosing. During the meetings, students will discuss the books they have been reading and get suggestions for new reads from their peers.
Cartoon Club

This is a club all about cartoons! Together, students can watch, make, and discuss cartoons as well as trivia, crosswords, puzzles, and more.
ChatterBox Club

This club is designed to improve socialization among the school community by enabling students to chat among themselves. Club meetings will include presentations that encourage conversation, sharing and playing music, and hosting guest speakers. Come connect with your peers and meet new friends!
Chess Club

Chess is known as “the game of kings.” Chess is a game for people of all ages and thinking capacities. It can help your brain develop in ways you would probably never think of. Chess is relevant as it teaches students to anticipate the consequences for every action. Students of all ages LOVE the competition of the game and making new friends. Chess has also been scientifically proven to help develop analytical and decision-making skills, which students can transfer to real life. Members will discuss game strategy, learn the history, play chess, meet people who also enjoy chess or want to learn how to play. It is for all levels of players! Join us for a game!
Coffeehouse

Coffeehouse is a place for high school students to come and share their talents and creations. It is an opportunity to share art, photography, poetry, and literature. It is a place where students can take the open mic and share a song they wrote or perform their jokes or spoken pieces. All high school students are welcome at Coffee House, even if you don’t want to share or perform. Come and support your friends, your classmates, and your peers. See what Agora students have to offer, and think about what you can do too!
Cooking Club

Join us in the virtual kitchen! During our club meetings, students will be able to swap recipes, share photos of their cooking, learn how to prepare a variety of dishes, and participate in virtual cooking demonstrations.
Crochet Club

Club Times – 4th Thursdays at 3:30 PM
During crochet club, students swap ideas for projects, teach each other crochet stitches, and show off their work. We do crochet-along demonstrations and refer you to suitable resources to help you along your crochet journey. From beginner to pro, all are welcome!
Debate Club

Club Times – 4th Thursday each month at 3:30pm
Do you enjoy debating contemporary topics with your peers? If so, we would love to hear your VOICE during this year’s Debate Club meetings. Students will brainstorm topics they would like to debate and teams will be formed. Students are required to participate on the microphone and must remain polite, respectful, and appropriate during all discussions. At the end of the debate, students will come together to determine a reasonable middle-ground. We look forward to having you!
Dungeons & Dragons Club

Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop role-playing game made for imagination and creativity. In this club we will learn about the history of Dungeons & Dragons and how to play the game. Students will also learn how to become a Dungeon Master/Game Master.
Equestrian Club

Mini horses, draft horses, and race horses…oh my! Just can’t get enough of these amazing creatures? Neither can we! Would you like to join us for the ultimate virtual equestrian experience?
Topics include:
- Equine care 101 – health care, feeding, tacking, etc.
- Riding styles – English, western, sidesaddle and more
- Equine events and shows – clinics, hunter shows, etc.
- Equine careers – equine dentist, breeder, etc.
- Equine guest speakers – meet vets, farriers and trainers
F.I.R.E. (Female Initiative, Respect, & Empowerment)

At F.I.R.E., our main goal is to provide a safe, welcoming environment for all our members, and to promote leadership and confidence. We discuss topics from women’s rights to women’s social and mental health. We hope to create a network among all members and promote support, empowerment, and friendship that persists even outside of meetings.
Gaming Club

Calling all gamers! 🎮 Whether you are a seasoned pro or just starting out, this club is for you! Meet up with other gamers to talk strategy, discover new games, and even play along with new friends. This club is open to all who enjoy video, PC and mobile gaming.
GSA (Genders and Sexualities Alliance)

This is a student-run club for our high school students. The mission and purpose of each GSA is a safe place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer (LGBTQ) students and allies, a time to provide support to each other, plan ways to educate other students in the school, organize activities to raise awareness of LGBTQ issues or all of the above! Please complete the survey link above and, once the advisors receive your information, a class connect session for the Genders and Sexualities Alliance will be added to your schedule.
Girls Who Code

Are you a girl who has an interest in coding? Join Girls Who Code, where you will meet other like-minded girls who are interested in coding. Girls Who Code is a unique Computer Science club for girls who are interested in Computer Science, Coding Activities, and more.
HOSA (Health Occupation Student Org.)

HOSA is an organization for high school students enrolled in health science (and pre-technical health science) or biomedical science education programs, or for students who are planning to pursue a health career. Local HOSA members are involved in community service, career-related and leadership development activities. HOSA members can share experiences with other people involved in the health professions. Members build confidence in their own ability to develop skills that will lead to successful employment in the field of health.
Math & Writing Peer Tutoring Support

Agora’s National Honor Society is happy to offer Math and Writing Peer Tutoring to any student in the 9th – 12th grade. We will work with students individually in breakout rooms to help work through the problems or writing assignments that are causing difficulty. Please bring some sample problems or an essay you are struggling to write. We can model how to solve and then support you as you are solving the problems on your own!

Photography Club

Agora’s Photography Club is open to all high school students who have a desire to share and/or improve their photography skills. This virtual interactive club focuses on learning the basics of DSLR cameras and how to take better pictures using your phone. We meet 1-2 times per month, and meetings include video tutorials, lessons, student work displays, and photographic challenges. All levels of ability welcome.

RAKA (Random Acts of Kindness at Agora)

The Random Act of Kindness of Agora (RAKA) club inspires each other to perform the smallest act of kindness, such as saying kind words to a peer or holding the door open to a stranger who has their hands full, to much bigger acts of kindness, like providing books or supplies to a school in need. All our Random Acts of Kindness contribute to a much bigger story, one that our club seeks to embody and promote to others – that you too can conquer the world one random act of kindness at a time. Everyone has the potential to change the world. We believe kindness can change the world, we remind everyone how much love there is in the world, and we want to inspire hope and generosity with our actions as much as our words. We are in need of amazing people like you to join.
Sable Alliance

The Sable Alliance is a safe space for everyone to come together to learn about black culture, to engage with peers concerning black culture, and to validate and support our members. Our goal is to generate a community that fosters empathy and unity through the exposure of black culture (influential people, accomplishments, etc.)

Student Assembly Collaborative

Students will collaboratively design the quarterly high school student assembly PowerPoints with the oversight of a staff advisor. Monthly meetings will facilitate ongoing creative work and timely completion of the PowerPoints as students brainstorm, discuss, organize, and create, adding a fresh perspective to high school student assemblies.
Teen Pact Support Group

Being a high school student is hard enough, but being a teen parent AND a high school student can be very overwhelming! We are here to help! Teen Pact is an optional group for pregnant or parenting students at Agora. We offer support, resources, and a chance to talk about our kids/pregnancies.

Writing articles, poetry and short stories, covering school events, drawing comics and taking pictures – we’re the place to be to express yourself and showcase your talents! The Agora Times is always accepting new members.
Theatrics Club

As a club we allow all students to reach their highest potential by fostering opportunities for those who wish to learn music, drama, scriptwriting, and more. The Theatrics Club’s goal is to provide the opportunity for students to participate (preform or observe) and/or learn about bi-monthly short plays, scriptwriting, musicals, and music. All students are welcome.
Travel Club

Do you love exploring new places and new cultures? Do you dream of seeing the world? If so, Travel Club is for you! Each month we will learn about cool destinations both near and far. We look forward to “traveling” with you!
Writing Club

In Writing Club, we explore a variety of genres, and students have the opportunity to write, share, and comment on original work. We also utilize the Writing Club course to collaborate and communicate outside of meetings. The Writing Club is open to avid writers, or anyone who has an appreciation for writing as a craft. Student have shared completed stories, excerpts from larger works, outlines, and concept art. We are flexible and diverse in out interests!
Young Father Support Group

Agora’s young father group is a group for parenting or expecting teen fathers. It is an optional online parenting group. The online meetings are a great way to connect with other teen fathers and safe fun spot to share stories with other teen fathers in the group.
If you are young father or an expecting young father, please reach out to the School Social Worker, Ms. Jen Barrios or your Family Coach or School Counselor and let them know that you are interested in joining the group!
