STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Student Assistance Program (SAP), which is administered by the PA Department of Education’s Division of Student and Safe School Services is designed to assist school personnel in identifying issues which may pose a barrier to a student’s success. The goal of Agora’s Student Assistance Program is to ensure that students have access to the resources they need to thrive both academically and personally. Agora intends to prioritize the well-being of our students and create a positive and nurturing learning environment.

SAP is designed to support students’ overall well-being by offering resources and assistance in dealing with personal, emotional, academic, and behavioral concerns. These supports can include referrals for community-based support, school-based or academic support, crisis intervention, and prevention or awareness. The SAP Team does not diagnose, treat or refer students for treatment – but when the concern lies beyond the scope of the school, can equip families with all information and resources available for decisions to be made by the family alone. All SAP team members are specially trained to serve.
